Summer is already well underway, but there’s still time to plan your visit to our beautiful wine region or, if you’re already here, to organise your tours. Most of the estates and wineries in the appellation welcome visitors for tastings, often by appointment. Where to stay: try glamping in Brissac at the Domaine d’Anglas – the estate also, of course, offers wine tastings and its famous tractor tour. Still in Brissac, discover the history of silkworms at the gateway to the Cévennes by staying in a former silkworm farm at the Domaine Les Caizergues. In the Buèges Valley, a stunning setting, you can stay at the Domaine de Brunet, which offers three holiday cottages in Causse de la Selle, as well as a tractor tour! Other holiday cottages can be found in the following areas: in Loiras, at Clos Rivieral; in Jonquières, at Mas de l’Ecriture; in Montpeyroux, at Cassagne and Vitailles. As for guesthouses: you’ll be charmed by the villages of St Saturnin de Lucian, home to the Chambres du Mimosa, run by the Domaine Virgile Joly, and Les Salces (St Privat), where the Domaine La Traversée offers luxury accommodation and a top-class table d’hôte. The Château de Jonquières, meanwhile, offers guest rooms as part of a wine-themed experience (a minimum stay of several nights is required). Guesthouse also in St jean de Fos at Château de Valloubière.

For a bit of fun: there’s plenty on offer! At Mas Origine, every Friday evening throughout the summer, the winegrowers host an open-air dance: ‘Casa Azul’ – a great time is guaranteed. You can also try out an original activity with your children: the ‘Mission Loisirs’ (a fun treasure hunt for 5–12-year-olds). After-work events, Apér'O Château evenings, garden tours: at Château Capion (Aniane), throughout the summer – and indeed all year round – you’ll find something to suit your taste. At Château de Jonquières, admire Charlie G. Simonds’ monumental sculptures in the park with its majestic trees (listed, along with the château’s façade, on the Register of Historic Monuments), enjoy the historical tour – covering 12 centuries of history! – (with a guide or via the web app) and a few exceptional evenings. Fonjoya, for its part, organises night markets and themed evenings, as well as a grape harvest festival in mid-October in St Felix de Lodez. Throughout the summer, the Valat family in Arboras or Montperoux organise evening events at the Château d’Arboras, which boasts an exceptional view of the Hérault river terraces where our vineyard is situated; during the rest of the year, there are various activities on offer, such as walks combined with a meal. Enjoy the cool, refreshing atmosphere of the magnificent gardens at the Domaine de Rieussec-La Croix Deltort (listed as a Historic Monument) and come to the theatre to see an adaptation of Marcel Pagnol’s novel *L’eau des Collines* (performances every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer). Are you looking for an original way to explore the vineyards? In the village of St Jean de Fos, Jérôme Hermet of Domaine Alexandrin runs a little vineyard train that will tell you the story of this charming Languedoc village, known in particular for its potters. When the weather improves, you’ll be able to explore the various wine trails that criss-cross our vineyards : Les Terrasses de Pégairolles à Pégairolles de l'Escalette (3h, 10km, niveau moyen) ; Entre vignes et Oliviers à Montpeyroux (2h, 6,5km, facile) ; Le sentier du vin des poètes à St Saturnin de Lucian (1h, 2km, très facile) ; Des vignes au Rocher des vierges à St Saturnin de Lucian (4h, 12km, moyen) ; Terroirs de Gignac et d'Aniane, au départ de Gignac (3h30, 10km, moyen) ; Oenorando du Canal des vignes, à Gignac (4h, 14km, moyen). There is also a wine cycle path : Vignobles et Gorges de l'Hérault (2h30, 26km, facile).
